Each July 1, on Doctor's Day, India recognises the significant accomplishments of doctors for their efforts towards a healthier society. The day reminds you of the role that doctors play in your lives, their commitment and sincerity----from simple treatment of illnesses to saving human lives.
The day is observed as a tribute to Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a human physician and a distinguished freedom fighter.
